o Worthy student should not be deprived of what he/she truly deserves if money is the only constraint o This support is not only helping the needy students but alleviating the pain his /her whole family is undergoing to meet the ends o We have a comprehensive selection process aiming to help and sponsor deserving GCTians who are clearly below poverty line struggling to pay their college, mess fee and in the verge of discontinuing their studies
Eligibility Criteria for New student applications
- Should be a bonafide student of GCT - Economically backward (with less than 1 lakh annual family income) - Good Academic Record (without any arrears)
Selection Process

* Students can apply online for sponsorship at the beginning of every academic year through 94GCTians trust website
* In the pre-selection stage, the students would be shortlisted based on the fulfilment of eligibility criteria and upon verification of received documents
* Detailed phone or personal interviews will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates
* Further validation will be conducted by the trust to authenticate the genuineness of the information provided by doing home verification
* If the high ranked Student selected is already in receipt of any scholarship /sponsorship in part or full, then, the next ranking student will be accorded priority
* Final list of selected students will be informed about quantum of fund / sponsorship
* The number of students and the quantum of the fund allocation, will depend on the available funds and is solely based on the decision of the trust
* In case of non-availability of students for a specific year or years, no fund will be used and will remain within the Trust
* In case of poor academic performance in subsequent years or some extra-ordinary situations, the trust will take the decision on continuing support for the candidate
Preferences will be given to
- Students in the first year of the course.
- Second to fourth year students, with good academic record, holding CGPA of greater than or equal to 9, consistently
- Students studied in government schools in both 10th & 12th standard , with high cut off marks relatively
- Orphaned or students with single parent
- Students who are first graduates from their family
- Students coming from remote or rural areas
- Differently abled
