Under the umbrella of 94GCTians Trust, Mentoring is one of the activities that fits the mission and interest of the trust. Prime objective of mentoring is to prepare our scholars for a successful entry into the next stage of life by providing personal coaching. Matching the monetary support with a mentorship would be a complete package for success.



  • MENTORING PROGRAM :

    Potential candidates or mentees would be our own scholars, who have been identified as most needy and deserving.
    Interested volunteers whose skills, motivations and backgrounds best match the goals and structure of the mentor program can register through the trust website expressing their willingness to mentor and the area in which they would like to contribute their mentorship.

    Two types of mentoring namely General mentorship and Specific mentoring that incorporate competency building activities are offered.

    General mentorship: General Mentor (GM) is the main point of contact for the student and is the ears on the ground for a specific candidate. GM will help in identifying the specific skill sets that need coaching for a student. GM stays with the student for the whole cycle starting from early 3rd year until they graduate and maintains a level of familiarity with the student that will lead to better interactions.

    Specific Mentorship provide academic support and career education to equip the students with necessary skills for work world. Subject Experts/ Skill coach would offer training that focuses on technical skills, communication skills, Personality Development and interview skills. Industry experts would provide value added training on advanced topics that serve as pointer to succeed in a company.

    INTERACTION METHODS / PROGRAM MODEL: The mode of interaction can be through video conferencing, e-monitoring and face-to-face meetings that average a minimum of once a week and a total of four or more hours that are required by the mentoring program.

    MONITORING AND SUPPORT: Mentor takes full ownership of the Mentee’s needs and takes care to fulfil the Mentee’s requirements to maximum possible level. The impact of mentoring on mentee would be monitored using a standardized assessment tools at a minimum frequency of once per month. Mentors can keep track of their invested mentoring effort and maintaining of the same is appreciated, for future assessments and enhancements needed to the mentoring process itself

    MENTOR – MENTEE ASSIGNMENT: Appropriate mentors would be assigned to each scholar based on the mentee’s need
